HSFC AGM

Agenda/venue details for the 2021 AGM of Hazlemere Sports FC:

Date: Sat 5th June. Convene at 5pm, meeting to starts no later than 5.15pm.

Venue: Outside HMH depending on weather forecast. Ken Williams Room if not.

3. Approve Minutes of 2020 AGM held on 26.08.2020.

5. Treasurer’s Report.

6. Presentation & approval of HSFC accounts for 2020/21 & budget for 2021/22 (to be circulated prior to meeting).

7. Bar Manager’s Report.

8. Reports from Team Managers.

9. Election of Officers for 2021-22.

Any new nominations need to be received by 28th
May, as per our constitution. If not, the following are all prepared to remain
in office for the coming season:

HSFC Covid-19 Risk Assessment

Our club has updated our risk assessment document to assist those visiting our club. We respectfully ask visitors to observe the various notices that our displayed at our ground. Please ensure you scan the QR code for the NHS track & trace system when you arrive at our ground. Please also follow the relevant guidelines such as washing/sanitising hands at regular intervals and social distancing.

Toilet and hand washing/sanitisation facilities are available in the changing rooms and entrance hallway at the back of the Hazlemere Memorial Hall. They will be open for 30 minutes before/after the game. Our Landlord has also produced a separate risk assessment document for the building – please see below:

Hazlemere Super 5 Fun Run

We hope you will enter this year’s Hazlemere Super 5 which takes place at Hazlemere Recreation Ground on Sunday, 9th June 2019, and bring the family along to join in all the fun activities at the event.

West Wycombe Trails

West Wycombe Trails is an exciting community event that will start and finish at West Wycombe Park.

The course is multi-terrain and completely off road race around the beautiful grounds of West Wycombe Park. The 5k run is open to everyone from the age of 13+ years and the 10K for those of 16+ and over on or before the race date.

The organising team comprises members of Hazlemere Runners, a friendly running group providing safe and supportive run coaching for the local community by qualified leaders and coaches.

Hazlemere Sixes

Holy Trinity Juniors FC are holding their annual 6-a-side tournament at Hazlemere Rec on the above date. This is an all day event starting at 9.30am, attracting young footballers from both sexes in the 7-17 age groups. As well as the chance to watch grass roots football at its very best, there are other attractions making this a fun event for all your family. Please try to come along and support this great fundraiser for the 200 plus youngsters in our junior football club.

 

Quiz night

We are delighted to announce that our popular General Knowledge Quiz Night returns on Friday 29th March 2019, with a fish & chips supper during the break. The cost to enter is only £7.50 per person and guests of members will be most welcome.

Please arrive by 7:30pm, Quiz starts at 8pm. Teams of 6-8 people preferred. A case of wine (max 8 bottles) will be presented to the winning team.

Smiffys Football Fun Day

A charity event worthy of plenty of support is taking place on Saturday 11th August at Hazlemere Recreation Ground.

Organised by several of our HSFC members, there will be a 7-a-side football tournament taking place between 1pm and 5pm. Entry is by invitation only with up to 10 teams competing. Please come along to support the event. All proceeds are going to the Beating Bowel Cancer charity in memory of the late Steve Smith.

Many of you will have known Steve, who was hugely popular.  Steve was part of the first ever HT Juniors sides when just a handful of children played at the C of E school.  At the age of 15 he was then part of the first Hazlemere Sports FC adult side.  He played for the club every season.  He became an integral part of the team and could be seen regularly behind the bar (see picture below) as well as being club treasurer.

Following being diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer, Steve sadly passed away in June 2013.  He had begun to arrange a 12 hour football match to raise money for beating bowel cancer.

With the help of his friends and family an annual Smiffy’s Football Fun Day is held at the rec.  This year’s event will take place on the 11th August.
